DENAVOLO - CATAVELA MALVASIA BLEND 2018
This skin contact wine is made by the legendary winemaker Giulio Armani (no, he doesn't double making suits) in Egmilia-Romagna. Unfined, unfiltered with no added sulphites, maceration on the skins for about 10 days. Medium-bodied, fresh and bright. Simply, this wine is awesome with or without food - with our without friends.
CASA BELFI - PROSECCO COL FONDO
This biodynamic, bone-dry, refermented in the bottle and unfiltered is about as natural a prosecco you can get. Bubbles are fun, so drink more of them, you'll be happy you did.
CASA BELFI - ROSSO FRIZZANTE
More bubbles, but a different colour. The same biodynamic producer from Veneto as above, but Raboso is the grape. This frizzy funk juice is good in the morning, afternoon or after dinner. It doesn't have a watch and neither should you.
PODERI CELLARIO - È GRINO GRIGNOLINO
My favourite 1 litro bottles make wines more fun. This gulpable red will make nonna happy if you slap it on the table and share it. Fausto and Cinzia are third-gen winemakers on the western outskirts of the Langhe hills of Piedmonte. You'll probably drink this too fast to know where it went.
**** BONUS BOTTLE ORSI VIGNETO SAN VITO - POSCA ROSSO
Fedorico's biodynamic farm is in a beautiful part of the Colli Bolognesi, just outside Bologna. Unlike the other's, this wine is most in line with what you think of when you think Italian wine (not juice). It's a bit bigger but still chuggable in its own right.
