VOLUME 006 - 🆕 YEAR, WHO DIS?

New year my 💓glugs!

2020 - year of the 🐀! Let's hope it's not a symbol for Mouse in our wine...

Bah - enough of the chatter - on with the yum. You probably slurped through your holiday stash, so here's some new to get you through them winter eves.

Very stoked to share these colours of the rainbow with you!

ERIC TEXIER - ADELE 2018

Eric is an ex-nuclear physicist. He is a very smart man. Since 1999 he's re-focused his smarts on natural winemaking. His vineyard is in a forgot town of Brézème in Northern Rhone. "Adele" is an eclectic and vibrant wine, consisting of 90% Clariette, 10% Marsanne - this wine has soul, with apples, peach, citrus freshness. Everyone will like it, and everyone will agree.

CUEVA - ORANGE 2018

The first Spanish wine to make an appearance on the Glug Klub, Bodega Cueva dates back to the 18th century and has never known anything other than natural winemaking! Vines are old (30-60 years), certified organic, unrefined, unfiltered and no added sulfur! 💥💥💥! This wine is a mix of Macabeu and Tardana grapes. Check out their slick website (💰going to the right places - ie: the vineyard) - http://www.bodegascueva.es/ - notable quote: "NATURAL WINE AND ART-HEALTHY" - sign me up amigo!

CIRELLI - CERASUOLO D'ABRUZZO 2018

Agricola Cirelli is an organic farm designed to respect the natural cycles of olive trees, vineyards, plants and animals. Crop rotation, natural fertilization, and free-range animal grazing are all part of Francesco and Michela Cirelli's "techniques" of production! Besides wine, they make olive oil, fruit, vegetables, and high-quality meats. I'll be moving to their farm as soon as they let me. Don't let pinkish (rosato) wine be only for summer -  it should be quaffed in all months of the year! Pro tip: don’t be afraid to have a nice piece of dark chocolate with this Montepulciano (grape). Not kidding!

KEVIN DECOMBES - BEAUJOLAIS VILLAGES 2016

Well, what do you know? Another Beaujolais... all good homies - I gotchuuuuu. This is good. Doing some research I came across this description that I couldn't top - "It's fruity, it's fresh, it's crisp, it's juicy, it's fluid and mineral, it's all in present but delicate flavours. It's greedy for red fruits, it's gobbling... In short, it's elegant, perfect and natural!" - wow, did I write that??
